Charlotte averages a little over 2000 per game for soccer I believe.

I expect to see more this year. We'll definitely start the season ranked.

If that image is correct (the Marshall soccer stadium), it sure does not look at all like it would hold 10,000.

UTEP has a dedicated track and field stadium, Kidd Field, that holds approx. 15,000.

Can you provide a Link, and do they play soccer there?

This is more info. on the stadium. Kidd Field was the original Sun Bowl Stadium and is only used for track and field. Unfortunately, this does not list the capacity but I know it holds at least 15K.

Marshall is getting ready to build a 10K soccer complex. That will be able to handle not only youth soccer but NCAA regional's as well.

I didn't realize it was going to be 10,000 seats.
thats because its not. Its only going to be 1,500

no clue where he got the 10000 number.

RE: Conference USA Facilities - 919R - 05-22-2012 10:11 AM

Thanks. I knew that image didn't look close to 10,000.

RE: Conference USA Facilities - ecumbh1999 - 05-22-2012 10:52 AM

Clark-LeClair (ECU baseball) can hold more than 5,500. The record crowd is 5,587.

RE: Conference USA Facilities - cdsniner - 05-22-2012 11:35 AM

A little surprised to see that North Texas and UTEP don't have baseball I figured those would be pretty big sports in the state.

RE: Conference USA Facilities - HP-TBDPITL - 05-22-2012 12:37 PM

Note that Bunting Field at ECU is no longer (not sure where 3K came from)...ECU has a brand new women's only soccer stadium that seats 1,000..

As well, isnt FIU adding onto their Football (& soccer) stadium right now? Is that figure taking that into account?

They are. I asked this in another thread and a FIU poster confirmed it.

Believe that person said the stadium would be in the 28,000 range.

RE: Conference USA Facilities - FIU Panther Fan - 05-22-2012 04:42 PM

Also, FIU Stadium is not used by our soccer team, they play at the FIU Soccer stadium which seats about 2,000. We recently hired Kenny Arena, Assistant at UCLA, who some of you might know as the son of Bruce Arena.

I didn't see anything on it on the FIU website, can you provide a link?

I had forgotten about that. Charlotte was in the 96 FF as well and it was FIU who beat us. So, that means FIU got to the Nat. Championship game. Can't remember who else was in it though.
