[split] ESPN Radio Interview: B1G after VA & GT; SEC after VaTech & NCSU - blunderbuss - 11-20-2012 10:31 PM

Good God some of you Big East basketball guys are unbelievable homers. That's all I have to say about that subject.

nope, and whoever is left will save the rest of the BE from the BE.
If 8 schools are leaving(2 B10, 2 SEC, 4 B12)- yeah, they would definitely try to coordinate.

Even if it went down just like you said. The 6 leftovers ND being one would take whoever they want from the BE. No need for them to have to go back to the BE and settle DePaul, Providence, SMU

Why would Pitt and Syracuse cost themselves 7.5 million PLUS all their hoops money to be in close to the exact same league(esp when they would also get Georgetown, Villanova, St Johns, and Marquette(not to mention Memphis and Temple). They would be the #1 hoops league for sure....

And, don't forget, ND has a good relationship with the BE.
I bet you that none of those schools go back to the BE in the next year. Loser never posts here again. Deal?

That is an interesting take. Think you might be on too something with that.

Wonder if Nbe, its existing teams and invitees, will even be able to draw up a football schedule for 2013? And just what broadcast network will negotiate a contract with Nbe not knowing who is going to be in the conference come Sept 2013? Nbe considered its timing of negotiating a new Nbe tv contract as perfect. Now, it seems the reverse is true.

Not that crap you brought up. Big Ten gets a lot more from UNC and UVA than Missouri and Kansas. Why would SEC and Big Ten hurt themselves?
They really can't hurt themselves and SEC and B1G will probably go to 16 w/ some/all ACC schools, still doesn't change the fact that the ACC will live on and backfill w/ BE schools. Like you've been told they have a tv contract until 2027, BE has nothing and lesser schools.

The poster was saying for SEC to get WV, Baylor, and TCU, and Big Ten to get Missouri and Kansas. That's not happening......

You do understand that the ACC being under lock and key until 2027 is not a good thing at all..... You and others make it sound like that's a great thing. It's not..... ESPN could say ok you guys get 8 million a year and you play mostly weekdays... Meanwhile, if they went Big East, they could get potentially more money, and be able to play on Saturday's. Being on the open market would do that......
then take my bet or you don't even buy the bs you're selling.

Yeah I understand when the BE balks at the ESPN contract, Pitt, Cuse and ND go, then they let it go on the open market and RU and UConn or UL are gone. They never learn, ACC knows how to play ball w/ ESPN and will be alive in some form.

no because I'm posting on here no matter what.......

Do you really think ESPN wanted to lose Maryland? There's been a lot reported this week saying they were caught off guard by this move.... A move that totally unstabilized the ACC. This was not anything done by ESPN or the ACC...... Totally idiotic to say that....

We'll see how unstable the ACC is. If it is very unstable, nothing can be taken as being for sure....

Got it, you know you're full of sh*t and are ranting b/c the ACC is about to steal from you again.
