#19 Connecticut loses by 33 at Louisville - Funslinger - 03-09-2014 06:08 AM

81-48. Good grief, Southern Miss only lost by 31.

That will knock the Huskies' seeding down a notch or two. They'll still be in the Dance, though.

Tough game for them. They still should be one of the 5 that will make it from
the AAC though.

Games like that happen. Doesn't do much other than drop them a seed or 2. AAC will have 5 in.

An unusually balanced conference, at least at the top:

Louisville is 2-0 against SMU which is 2-0 against UConn which is 2-0 against Memphis which is 2-0 against Louisville.

Surprised at how many times I have seen all of the former Conf USA schools play on ESPN this year. I saw SMU play Memphis yesterday afternoon on ESPN 2.

I think BB needs to get on the ball. Southern Miss is playing good ball and deserve to be on ESPN.

That omits Cincinnati, but yeah it is curious how the AAC split neatly this season into five consensus-Top 25 teams, and five teams that aren't even in the Top 100.

...that was an interesting game...was fun to watch LB go ballistic during the playground turnover festival....I think there were 5 or 6 within a minute in the early going...

also, thx for the props.....it sucks barely getting recognition from the media.....our men truly play as a team....it's been fun watching these guys mature....

According to Seth Davis on CBS Sports, the selection committee doesn't look at margin of victory. Well, I guess we'll see.

Do you believe that?

I don't. Especially for the games in Feb./early March

Not really. I was shocked when he said it.

At a minimum, you'd think they'd use MOV to separate two very close candidates.

ESPN's Opinion: Bad Loss for USM, Good Loss for UCONN
