Houston Coaching Rumors Swirling - Attackcoog - 12-07-2014 01:02 PM

FWIW---Rumors are swirling that Houston will be releasing Levine as early as today. Might be nothing. I'll be honest, Id put this solidly in the rumor category, but I am hearing it from a lot of different places. Houston fans should pay attention to twitter as that's where we might first see if there is any fire to this smoke.

SMU just hired Chad Morris and Tulsa is going to get their guy. Houston needs to make a move.

Levine isn't bad, but UH should be better. Too much potential at UH to just settle for an average coach.

I am suprised people arent going after Pelini. Dude won big at Nebraska and he can recruit. I do wonder if CSU will go after him.

Sounds like the days of being embarrassed by recent FBS move ups at home are over.

I want a proven coach... Houston is to much of an attractive gig to settle for rookies now.

RE: Houston Coaching Rumors Swirling - billetingman1 - 12-07-2014 02:25 PM

Team has now been notified.

Berman is bucking the trend.

That said, pretty much the same verbage was used when the basketball season ended and Dickeys job was in question. He is gone.

If true, they certainly didn't wait very long. I figured they would've waited until after the bowl game.

That's too late. Puts the new coach in a crunch for recruiting and it means the many of the most attractive replacement candidates have already accepted other jobs. If you are going to change horses, you have to jump at the end of the regular season--but before the bowl. Its usually not an issue as most teams firing a coach are not heading to a bowl.

meeting tomorrow is probably buy out stuff. Get a reduced buy out or start on Tuesday at the Janitorial office.
