Netflix Suggestions - BeerCat - 12-31-2014 09:35 AM

Is there somewhere that I can find what's popular on Netflix?

Anyone have any suggestions other than the obvious, House of Cards?

I watched Black Mirror which I found mildly entertaining.

Also Snow Piercer was alright.

Try Orphan Black. It's different. Maybe Lilyhammer if you're a bored masochist, but I forced myself to watch 3 episodes and just can't get into it.

I use it to watch old movies and television shows primarily. On the main page, there's a "Popular on Netflix" section that you can scroll through.

I do plan on watching Peaky Blinders and Happy Valley. Never seen House of Cards.

Be sure to rate everything you watch, you may get good recommendations that you may not have known were available on Netflix.

Highly recommend Peaky Blinders. One small issue is that it has strong British accents that are sometimes hard to understand.

I stumbled upon "The Fall" last year. It's an Irish BBC production. Pretty good if you like a creepy serial killer cat-and-mouse drama.

Thanks this is the kind of thing I've been googling for. It's surprising Netflix doesn't have this feature available.

I stumbled on the documentary Korengal which is the follow up to Restrepo, haven't watched it yet but I'm looking forward to it. Anyone who enjoys military documentaries I'd highly recommend Restrepo.

Stumbled on to Revelation Road, while a bit cheesy it's the good kind and ended up watching all three. Road warrior meets Jesus.

Lawless, Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce (so good at being bad), Shia Labeouf.

That was an awesome movie. Thick accents made it a little difficult to hear some stuff but it was a really good movie.

Yeah it was good. Guy Pearce is pretty under rated sometimes. He was really good in LA Confidential, Count of Monte Cristo.

I watched the first episode of Lilyhammer last night, and thought it was really good.

Not on Netflix, but rather FoxNow on roku: Gotham. It's kinda cool, having the comic book youth probably helps.

RE: Netflix Suggestions - Coopdaddy67 - 01-31-2015 09:48 PM

I've been Netflixing for most of the past couple days.

I tried watching Peaky Blinders. Don't know if it's because I'm so messed up with the flu or not, but the accents are really difficult to understand. I'll try again when I can properly focus.

Anyone had a chance to watch Bloodline yet?

It's on my list.

"Dawg Fight"

Filmed near Miami, FL, brutal, bare-knuckled backyard fights give men a chance to earn money. Follows a fighter/promoter dubbed "DaDa 5000" who used to roll with Kimbo Slice as he promotes and puts on backyard fights and ultimately gets his shot at a MMA career. It's brutal and real, worth a watch for sure.
