I have a feeling I'm going to get hit right in the nostalgia at noon

The new systems have been less than impressive to me. I have had both and kept the Xbox One simply for the functionality with my DirecTv and my soundbar. That said, the only game I have truly loved on the X1 is The Golf Club and it leaves a ton to be desired on a multiplayer front.

I am really looking forward to EA Sports Golf due out in July. Looks like it will be fully immersive. Surely they (EA) can't destroy another title (basketball/hockey) and blame it on the newness of a system.

Sucks how Rare totally went to **** after leaving Nintendo.

Yep, they were the "it crowd" in the N64 generation...that Priate Game looks very intriguing though.

So, EA is up next, I'm hoping for actual Fifa career mode improvements and the full Visceral Star Wars announcement.

PS4, your console choice for 2016...don't think there was a clear "winner", but definitely liked that XBox had so many exclusive popping up in the calendar year of the conference theyw were presenting at.

Greatness Awaits...Awaits...*checks watch*...Awaits...Really?...Awaits...****...Awaits...**** YOU SONY I'M LEAVING...Awaits

Bethesda and Microsoft tied for first, Ubisoft and Sony tied for third, and EA is last.

Color me underwhelmed the way Nintendo offered their announcements in their Digital Event.

Star Fox is money.
Super Mario Maker is money.
I saw a few other games that have my interest.
I like the looks of some of the new lines of Amiibos but but not enough to say I am getting some of them.

Quite honestly, I thought the Smash Direct on Sunday was more EPIC.

As well as 2015, PS4 has already had some great exclusives drop this year and more to come, 2016 will be incredible and this November both consoles win.

Id put Ubisoft last soley because of that Just Dance crap and EA was decent (Battlefront looked awesome and PvZ2 looked pretty damn fun), but the Fifa/Pele thing lasted too long.

Sony, Microsoft and Bethesda all had really good conferences. I wouldnt say there is a clear cut winner, but it was good for fans of both systems id say.

PS4 only had Bloodborne. The Order was a complete flop.

EA was boooooooooooooooooooooring
Sony was lackluster and didn't show any release dates.
Ubisoft was better just because it is a hate watch sort of deal cause of Aisha (can't stand her as a host).

Also Square Enix wins the most wtf moment of E3

There were more than that, and more to come this year, but I am most excited about the 3rd party games coming to both consoles in November than anything else this year. 2016 will be awesome as well though.

The PS4 has like no exclusives for the rest of the year...

Bloodborne is game of the year worthy. I have put 200 hrs in that game and I am mainly a PC/Steam guy

That's why that's the only good PS4 exclusive in its first 18 months. But Fallout will win GOTY.

RE: OT: The Official Video Game Discussion Thread (E3 Is Here!) - BearcatMan - 06-19-2015 11:05 AM

So, what does everybody think about the gameplay/trailers/game designs they've seen from E3?

I'm very much looking forward to Horizon: Zero Dawn, looks like a futuristic version of Tomb Raider with the stealth combat mechanics, open world, and looting/crafting, plus it's just gorgeous...but I figure it won't be out for a while.

If No Man's Sky doesn't come out in the next 6 months, I'm going to start to sour to the idea, the more I think about the lack or presented core gameplay dynamics, it seems like it's just a lot of driving around and find things with no conceit or story, the more wary I become especially given that we've been seeing it for the last year and a half with no end in sight.

Re:Core piqued my interest, but I'd need to see actually gameplay and not an individually redendered trailer before I get too excited about it even with the pedigree of the design and production team.

Uncharted 4 looks absolutely incredible, and I'm perfectly fine with them delaying a bit now after seeing gameplay and just how massive it looks...I do think the PS4 may chug along a bit in some of the larger render zones and what not.

That Rare Pirates game (Sea of Thieves I believe) looks like it could be a lot of fun, as it seems like a Pirate based MMO almost.

Adr1ft looks like a game I'll really enjoy and Mirrors Edge will be fun as all get out, just like the first. They both look like games tailor made for the Rift/Morpheus set up.

The Last Gaurdian will FINALLY be out, so now people can stop going crazy about it. Looks like a fun little puzzle platformer if that small gameplay snippet is core. And I don't care what you say, Shenmue 2 was not entertaining to play, and Shenmue 3 will be the same way, but FF7 Full Remake is AWESOME, cannot wait for that nostalgia overload.

Star Wars BattleFIELD looks like a Star Wars mod skin on a Battlefield game, which is disappointing even though I expected it.

Fallout 4 or Horizon are probably the top two picks for Game of the Show, I'm actually really excited about Fallout, and I hadn't liked the last two that much.

Last but not least, I'm in love with the super nostalgia and throwbacks that all of the big companies seem to be focusing on now, moving away from huge cookie cutters and focusing more on taking chances with smaller studios or developing story and character rather than JUST producing games that look good but have no heart in them.

Phew...
