OT: Game of Thrones - Potential Spoilers - nomad2u2001 - 03-30-2013 12:06 AM

*****SPOILER WARNING***** If you haven't read the books or at least seen Seasons 1 and 2, you might not want to read further.

Well the new season starts Sunday. What are you looking forward to seeing during season 3?

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - GoApps70 - 03-30-2013 12:30 AM

Imagine the dragons are getting big so some things showing them will be interesting.
Almost forget what is going on it's been so long, guess I better look up the last episode and take a look again.

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - RonBurgundy - 03-30-2013 12:34 AM

I've heard it was good but never actually met anyone who has watched it. On a scale of 1 to 10, what would you give it?

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - Billy Free - 03-30-2013 01:04 AM

Best show on tv and I cannot wait for Sunday. It really has become a phenomenon.

I would give it a 9.

In my opinion it is the best show on television right now. To give an idea of my rating scale, I have ranked and graded five shows that I will watch on television.

1. Game of Thrones = 9
2. Walking Dead = 7.5
3 The Killing = 7 (Only Watched Season 1)
4. Breaking Bad = 6.5
5. The Borgias = 6.5

I just hope that Joffrey gets his come uppins this season.

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - 49RFootballNow - 03-30-2013 01:39 AM

10, and I hope we get some more nudity too!

9

9.

The nudity is first-rate, and there's plenty of sword-induced gore. Sharp writing, great casting - hot naked chicks who can actually act while naked. Visually stunning.

Storyline can get a little dense; in places I have no idea how someone who hadn't read the novels would keep up.

8, maybe 9. And I'm not a fan of fantasy.

A 9, probably the best show on TV. But I wouldn't watch it this Sunday if you haven't seen any of the prior seasons. There's too many characters with plotlines in motion to just walk into the show now, imo.

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - USM@FTL - 03-30-2013 09:49 AM

Watched the first 2 seasons, then read all 5 books in about 3 months. Eagerly awaiting books 6 and 7. I've got the mug, t-shirt, and letter-opener sword.

If they keep true to following the book's storyline like they've been doing, and don't run out of money, they've got several seasons worth of material to produce from. It's just crazy what this show could become!

This season, coming from the first half of book 3, has extremely good potential. I won't reveal anything. No spoilers here, but a wild, fun ride is coming. So just enjoy!

Go to HBO.com and find the interactive map of Westeros. It gives you a good "grasp" of George R. R. Martin's fantasy world. LOL!

Place a warning in the subject about spoilers

Also, I'm going to try to catch some of the episodes on HBO since this weekend is freeview for Dish and see If I can hooked

If I were to put a number to this show, it would be 9ish. I tend to make the claim that many things are the 'best show on television', so I should just say that I'm happy this doesn't share a timeslot with another popular show because that show would never be watched by me. It is in the same category with Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Dexter, and Doctor Who for me.

BTW, the new Who episode comes on tonight. Pretty dang excited.

It only shares with TWD for a week and I don't care for Mad Men. I guess I should've said popular with me.

the show is a 5 the books are a 10

RE: OT: Game of Thrones - Potential Spoilers - Ole Blue - 03-30-2013 03:49 PM

Wasn't there a preview of Dany and her dragons? I thought I saw that. That whole scene (and sequence with Dany, since she's my favorite alive character) will be the highlight of the season for me, I'm sure.

A ten hour season can't compare to a full length book, but the makers of the show have done a great job. No way the show is only a 5. Rate the show on its own merit, not in comparison to the books.
