The USM AD should pick up the phone and try again. The Tigers recently added a series with Ark. St. Apparently, the old coaching staff was against the series so it wasn't renewed, but the new staff is okay with playing. Dates may have to be a ways out after the UofM/USA series wraps up...or maybe it'll be a conference game again by then. :) However it gets done, it needs to happen.

Personally, I don't favor playing any former CUSA school unless it's a conference game again. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

therein lies the rub...why would one not want an h/a with a former conference mate whose program is on the rise with a storied history with the two revenue sports when our program is in limbo?

The game in Memphis is also beneficial from an exposure standpoint. Memphis is not an ASN market and as such TV exposure in the populous N. MS. counties (part of the Memphis metro market) has been less than stellar. Obviously, all that could change with the next contract.
