Memphis - jfisher - 10-26-2016 05:45 PM

I'm hoping for a win......but Memphis is favored by 6.5 and it sounds about right.......I just don't think we will do well against the option but it will offer some practice for Navy. Memphis 36..Tulsa 28

I'll lean on the optimistic side (or biased side) and say Tulsa finds a way to win this one like they have before this season. These guys just don't quit.

Tulsa - 42

Memphis - 35

All the preseason needles pointed to a very close game and TU win, but Memphis is a bit better than I and others predicted and will be tough at home. But we are still a very good football team at the moment. One caveat is that TU was only 2-2 (with wins at SMU and Tulane) in AAC road games last year and is 0-1 so far this year with that close loss at UH. Part of that stat is the strength of this league and it makes winning on the road very difficult. So even a win will be close IMO.

Talent wise, I think we have the edge offensively with our tremendous set of WRs and RBs who dominated a very good Tulane DL who played Memphis toe to toe the week before our game.

So i'm going to be optimistic and predict a very close win. Something in the neighborhood of:

TU - 34
Memphis - 30

Noticed that Memphiis suspended 2 players for their "involvement" in an off campus shooting incident. To the best of my knowledge, neither was a starter/top player. One was evidently a CB and the other a WR. This shouldn't effect the game much, but is a distraction for the Tigers.
