Memorial Day will be observed on Monday. MD was originally known as "decoration day" and began as a way of celebrating/honoring the memory of those who were wounded/parrished in the Civil War. The name was changed to MD in 1971 when we were still active in the Vietnam conflict. Today it is universally recognized as the day to honor our Vets, living or dead in all wars.
For those living who served your country in time of war, THANK YOU!
