ACCbbs Pickem Week 4 is open - ken d - 09-18-2017 08:03 AM
Let's see if we can do better than last week. I have decided to tweak the rules just a bit more. So far, during the season race, we have not needed to resort to a tie breaker. Frankly, I was always uneasy about breaking a tie using one of the games we had already picked. And, in past years, we didn't have weekly tie breakers at all - we just had multiple winners. So, for the rest of the season, that's what we'll do. We will only have a tiebreaker for the season championship, and it will be a game played after the regular season is over, TBD later.
This week's slate is:
Virginia @Boise State
Army @Tulane
NC State @Florida State
Arkansas @Texas A&M
Pitt @Georgia Tech
Old Dominion @Virginia Tech
Central Florida @Maryland
Wake Forest @Appalachian State
Duke @North Carolina
Boston College @Clemson
Toledo @Miami
Cincinnati @Navy
Syracuse @LSU
Mississippi State @Georgia
Notre Dame @Michigan State
In the event one of these games is cancelled, it will be replaced by Texas Tech @Houston. If there is a second cancellation, we will substitute Sunday's game, East Carolina @UConn.
If there are more than two cancellations, everyone will get credit for a correct pick on the third and additional cancellations. In that case, we will welcome a thread (in the Spin Room) on the effects of global warming on college football.

It should be noted that the Virginia-Boise game airs Friday evening, so you will need to get your picks in before that game starts.
As a reminder, if you need to change any of your picks, please do it in a separate post, and not an edit to your original post. Unlike the decro system used last year, I can't lock out changes once the game starts, so this is the only way I can be sure to have your picks the way you want them when the action starts. Thanks for your cooperation.
EDIT: Also, be aware you should pick all 17 games, including the two alternates to be used in case of weather cancellations.

That's why it's on there. If the game were being played on Saturday instead of Sunday, it would have been on the main card. There is still no betting line on this game, which suggests Vegas is asking the same question you did.

I have to pick ECU, but I've never seen an ECU team this bad, and I can remember their squads going back to the mid-70's. I don't know what is wrong.
