“Due to scheduling circumstances, there will be no release tomorrow regarding the NCAA Committee on Infractions decision. We have not yet received the Committee’s public infractions report. We anticipate we will be informed 24 hours prior to the actual release at a later date.”

UNC is announcing the start of a major fundraising campaign tomorrow. The speculation is that UNC asked the NCAA to delay the announcement by a few days so it wouldn't overshadow the campaign kickoff. It seems to me as if it will anyway. Why would you ask the NCAA to delay the announcement if you were expecting good news?

Because they don't want to talk about the NCAA issue whatever the outcome is. Either way the media is going to want to discuss it & their' s little doubt it would take away from the campaign announcement. This weekend is about the campaign, home game against ND & deal with the fallout of the NCAA sometime next week if that is the case

Carolina expects some unacceptable sanctions and is prepared to appeal. If the appeal is denied or has unfavorable results we are prepared to move to the next option which is to sue the NCAA in Federal Court. (video interview for details).

Bubba stated in May that we will exhaust the NCAA process before we move on to the next option

So you're expecting to be hammered?

If it isn't harsh the NCAA and the ACC are morally bankrupt and at that point why are we even pretending to not be the SEC?

So you're expecting to be hammered?

As Bilas stated: the NCAA has broken so many of their own rules to get to this point, the outcome has already been predetermined, which is why Carolina is willing to exhaust the NCAA's process before moving forward.

RE: Verdict On UNC Coming On 10/6 - Hallcity - 10-12-2017 03:14 PM

The decision will be released to the public at noon on Friday, October 13.

My prediction is that it will be bad for UNC -- a multiyear post-season ban in football and basketball. I don't know about banners and don't care that much. You can't change the past.

If so then expect this to drag on for a long time

Hundreds of NCSt fanboys pleasuring themselves today in anticipation. UNC will get something minimal as a compromise. No more than a one year postseason ban. This is no where as serious as a staff helping an ESL BB player (Fab Melo) do his footnotes on a term paper.
