DOMINATION!
Only one ACC match-up remains perfect (13-0) since the 2004 expansion...

Does that mean no 'to hell with UGA' thread this year?

Edit : BTW, for those that are interested, GT's payout to beat UGA outright are +345 at this time. For the non betters, that means bet $100 win $345 get your $100 bet back.

Miami is overrated and this game proves it.

No. Miami is overrated. A 4-7 ACC team is the equivalent of a 5-6 team in the American.

Pitt has played the 26th most difficult schedule. The American's SOS are:

ECU - 66
Navy - 67
Tulane - 68
Tulsa - 69
Houston - 70
Temple - 73
UConn - 74
SMU - 76
Cinci - 81
UCF - 84
Memphis - 88
USF - 102

The facts don't back up your argument.

Miami is very, very good, but they clearly didn't come to play today (and the QB is having an AWFUL day).

Look, I have the utmost respect for the American Athletic Conference... but, NO, a 4-7 ACC team is NOT equivalent to 5-6 in the AAC.

Here's Pitt's 2017 schedule:

SEP 02 – W - Youngstown State
SEP 09 – L - @Penn State
SEP 16 – L - Oklahoma State
SEP 23 – L - @Georgia Tech

SEP 30 – W - Rice
OCT 07 – L - @Syracuse
OCT 14 – L - NC State
OCT 21 – W - @Duke
OCT 28 – W - Virginia
NOV 04 – OPEN
NOV 09 – L - North Carolina (THU)
NOV 18 – L - @Virginia Tech

NOV 24 – ? - Miami (FRI)

The average AAC team can certainly lose to the teams that beat Pitt, but can they beat UVA or Duke? I don't think so, TBH.

The AAC has a 5-6 team, Temple - here's their 2017 schedule:

@ ND L49-16
vs NOVA W16-13
vs UMASS W29-21
@ 21 USF L43-7
vs HOU L20-13

@ ECU W34-10
vs CONN L28-24
@ ARMY L31-28

vs NAVY W34-26
@ CIN W35-24
vs 15 UCF L45-19
@ TLSA ???

Would Pitt have lost to ND? Probably. To USF, UCF and Houston? I'll even give you those. UConn and Army? Not likely. Thus, I'm saying Pitt would be 7-4 against that schedule, with a likely win against Tulsa coming up to get to 8-4. Who's 8-4 in the AAC? Houston. So I think 2017 Pitt = 2017 Houston (approximately). That's not meant to be demeaning, just trying to compare teams.

Not even worth arguing with the AAC fans. Pitt and Cuse would both be challenging for AAC divisional titles if they were in the AAC. They certainly wouldn't get as banged up playing Tulane and UConn versus NCSt and Wake Forest.

Well, a lot of fans felt that Miami deserved to be #2, and today they showed that they were.

There is not one person in the Canes fan base who would have turned down 10-1 three months ago. Now it's met with fire.

As good as I feel for Pitt, this could wind up hurting the ACC big time. It puts tremendous pressure on Clemson tonight. If they were to lose to USCe, the league could find itself out of the playoff picture. It's hard to bounce back from late season losses like those.

FiveThirtyEight.com says UM has 88 percent chance to make playoff if it bests Clemson.

There is no possible way that this puts any more pressure on the Clemson/coot game than was on it at the start of the season. No matter what you accomplish this season if you lose to the coots it's a failed season.
