Wildcats vs Wildcats in Music City Bowl Nashville TN - Policiious - 12-05-2017 01:01 PM

Cats got a good draw here playing a 7-5 KY Wildcat team. Great for NU Wildcat fans as this is a bowl that is a driveable distance from Chicago which means not having to deal with traffic getting to the airport, either checking bags at your gate or doing a marathon thru the airport (OHare) to get to your gate with your bags and of course the security lines.

Nashville is an 8 hour drive from Chicago and the game is scheduled for late on Friday afternoon 12/29 (330PM CST). Kentucky has a potent offense scoring 309 pts this year but has trouble stopping anybody giving up 343. NU finished 4th in the Big 10 in scoring with 356 or just under 30 per game while surrendering only 236 or just less than 20 per game which ranks the Cats in a tie for 4th with Purdue.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate so both teams can best show their talents.

I hope that Northwestern fans show up. It's a home game for Kentucky basically. I don't know enough about Kentucky to make any kind of judgement so I agree with hoping for the best weather and a good game. How is Justin Jackson doing? Healthy? Hope he can run wild over them.

This is one of the first years that I look top to bottom at the Big Ten bowl line-up and think I like the match-ups in most games. The conference is playing up so against higher teams from other conferences so much it often reflects in the lines. I think missing on the Citrus helped some this year (although still 3 in NY6 bowls), along with a stronger middle.

In this one, I like Northwestern. They were so typically Northwestern this year. They struggled early out of conference and then by the mid point of the year figured out who they were and finished strong. Kind of wish they played Wisconsin later in the year. I think they will roll in this one.

Certaily closer for KY, not sure how many of their fans will show up. Its the closest distance for any B10 team to travel for a bowl game and the Cats have a reputation for playing well in hostile environments. 04-cheers

Big 10 should do very well this bowl season, several favorable matchups.

Should Clemson and Oklahome win their games and OSU, PSU & Wisky win their fames by at least 10 to 14 pts; they will climb over bama and georgia and place 3 Big 10 teams in the top 5.

When the Cats win and they should take down Kentucky, they will move up a few notches in the rankings.
