Hey, it's an election year. They want votes. Let's use this to our advantage. One benefit to having a large university and alumni base.

Perhaps. Then again, they are all up for vote in about 11 months and they want to keep their jobs.
I can just see the ad now:
"Represenative so and so doesn't support UCF, hates the children, and pollutes the rivers. A vote for me is a vote for the national champions. You don't hate the national champions, do you?"
