UConn @ Memphis will be an interesting game IMHO...

Agreed. We have a lot in common.

RE: RPI as of 1/14 - ShockerFever - 01-14-2018 02:51 PM

The Cincinnati and Houston SOS's are pretty glaring..

And hats off to Temple for being #1... too bad that's the only thing going for them.

Ya, that's what we get for thinking ucon memphis and temple would be any kind of decent this year.

12-6 with a top 100 RPI is decent. (not good, but decent)

if...and that's a big IF...Memphis is able to knock off UConn at FedExForum we'd be in a pretty good spot IMHO.

They are both renovating home courts which had to have some effect but yes they stick out badly. As does ECU and USF. The conference should be mandating a 150 schedule or better.

Temple just needs to figure out how to get to 19-20 wins and they are in. The question is can they get there? Houston and Cincy seem better set up than Temple despite sos differences.

Would be nice if Tulane and Tulsa could get into top 100 would help them individually and the conference as a whole since that would make almost all of conference games top 100 contests.

Yeah the UConn game is a pivotal point for your season. Could work your way on to the bubble with a win and a nice string of games following up.

The AAC’s OOC SOS puts it at the #23 conference.

yep, because after that we still have ECU and USF home-home so it could get a roll going for us.

RE: RPI as of 1/14 - HuskyU - 01-14-2018 03:18 PM

Better for UCONN to beat Memphis to give the Huskies momentum going into their next game vs Villanova.

Shocker fans love to talk about UCs schedule, but digging a little deeper the only real difference is UC playing those 300+ level teams and WSU getting those 150ish ones. It is disappointing UC couldn't get better buy games this year, but based on our recent pattern of scheduling, this looks like a one year aberration brought upon by moving off campus for a year.

I feel your pain...uh, you feel my pain...it’s painful.

Seriously Temple fans were stoked about this season of promise which started so well. We need a fresh start with a new coaching staff. Don’t think that’ll happen though since Dunphy has all those sweet 16s and final 4s.

Usually want under 60, but Cuse got in as #71 in 2016.

Indeed, also 60 is the cut off for top wins, 110 is the next level if I remember right.

There are a lot of good wins out there still, if a team strings them together they will definitely have a shot at an at large. There are 30+ at larges but most of the high rpi's will be autos so anyone under 60 with a good record will be right there.

60 for P5. I would want 40 as an AAC member and wouldn’t feel great.
