I'm sure UConn will show up for this game, but I'll UC and the points.

Agree. We are the signature win for someone in conference at our going rate. We just need to keep taking it one. game. at. a. time.

RE: 2/3 AAC Basketball Games - UofMemphis - 02-02-2018 09:53 PM

Memphis needs this to be a road W to help build confidence and momentum going into the conference home stretch.

RE: 2/3 AAC Basketball Games - TU4ever - 02-02-2018 10:44 PM

UCF needs to hold serve at home to keep it's tourny chances alive

2/3 AAC Basketball Games - justinhub2003 - 02-02-2018 10:50 PM

I expect a good game from UConn. They haven’t lost in Gampel and have wins over UCF and smu there. Also vital was the kenpom MVP of both those games. I think UC wins but not by much.

This is the closest thing we have to rivalry in this conference and rivalry games never go as you expect

TCB, Tigers.

Over under on how many times Ollie walks onto court during play with his Come On Man face is set at 5.

About as ideal a game for ucf as you can get. Very winable home game as a short dog to keep the dream alive. Solid win for a tournament resume. If we lose then i can finally let go of the at-large hopes and enjoy the season for what it is- an injury-riddled dissapointment.

RE: 2/3 AAC Basketball Games - payday - 02-02-2018 11:22 PM

It’s a shame those two games are at the same time.

RE: 2/3 AAC Basketball Games - thespiritof1976 - 02-02-2018 11:52 PM

Cincinnati 56, UConn 45
UCF 65, Houston 62
Memphis 74, ECU 55

I will be pleasantly surprised if the Tigers win by double digits. Presently, Vegas has Memphis winning by eight and KP shows a six point Tiger victory.

Hah. We feel your pain.

Part of me wants a 4/5 UCF-SMU “Pride Bowl” game at the AAC tourney.
The other part says that, at this point, that game involves neither of us.

To all UConn fans: UC fans would like to thank Coach Ollie for not granting Cane Broome a scholarship when he was transferring but instead directed him to UC, once again much appreciated. You just can't have enough 1,000 point scorers.

Don't disagree that since we joined the old Big East UConn has become a rival of sorts due to some big games that we've played against them. But, don't forget that we have quite the history with Memphis that goes back a long time through several conferences.
When they right their ship, (notice I said "when" and not "if") the rivalry with Memphis will come more to the forefront.

FWIW, all time head-to-head the Cats have played the Tigers 76 times. The only teams we've played more are Louisville (91), Saint Louis (78) and Xavier (78). We've played Connecticut 24 times but 22 of them has been during the Mick Cronin era.

This is absolutely a true story too

I was going to bring that up to him, but you beat me to it. Problem is, since we rejoined forces, we haven't really lived up to our part of the rivalry yet.

I will be shocked if you guys don't turn it around soon. Talk about a passionate fan base and a great basketball city. Heck, the Memphis board has quite the following. There sure are some "unhappy" folks over there these days. 03-lmfao

Looking at the AAC Standings, I'm thinking Memphis fans need to root for all 3 visiting teams today.
