I’ll just go ahead and say it.
We’ve got Marshall and WKU at home and we’re overdue. My prediction? Rice doubles its conference win total this week by sweeping two unsuspecting top tier squads.

Wow! Hope not, at least against the Toppers. Go ahead and beat Marshall, though.

Lol. I'll take the other side of that bet.

Imagine a universe in which a UTEP-Charlotte game pits two teams with a combined conference record of 3-21. Couldn't be. Must be some sort of Mandela effect thing.

You drive a hard bargain, sir, but we’ll take it. At least let us hang around for 13 minutes or so like MT did.

And Judy probably has that one televised.

40:1 for the parlay according to the ESPN Power Index.
If I were a gambling man, that is 03-wink

No Coleby according to Stans today for Thursday game. LOSS. Smart will drop 37 on Western. We’re back to playing no defense.

Rice has been close in some games. We play with no intensity on the road. At least we haven’t since the ODU game. Very little intensity at home. LOSS.

We leave Texas with an Oh-Fer this weekend.

RE: Feb 15 and 17 basketball games - AustinFromUNT - 02-13-2018 01:49 AM

UNT will win both games CLOSE. We actually play worse at home than we do on the road.

Why is Coleby out?

Why is Coleby out?

Hurt his knee in the first half versus FIU.

Ill be happy with a split, but a sweep would be amazing. I cant understand why we are not as sharp at the Pit. When I was a student, the Super Pit was a MAJOR home court advantage for us. It's hard for me to make the drive up to Denton during basketball season (I have to settle for seeing them at UTSA every year), so I have no way to pinpoint what is wrong at home.

NT is 9-3 at home, with their only home conference loses occurring in the first league homestand losing to Charlotte and ODU by a total of 5 points. That Charlotte loss is very bad, but NT has won their last 3 home conference games. I believe that NT is just a better than average road team, more than having problems at home.

Marshall and WKU will be a challenge, but I like NT's chances.
