Yes. I am happy. If we can somehow win the AAC tournament, I'll be even happier. 20 wins will not make this season a success as much as how we finish out.

Why start another thread when you can talk the same stuff in others that are 40 deep already?

Super happy. We are ahead of schedule and we cancelled the psychologists and saved 10 grand.

It’s better than losing... but SMU was depleted and Tulane sucks. Doesnt mean much in the big picture.

IMHO it does when you still have home games against USF and ECU remaining...I know the guys want pay back against ECU on Sr Day.

Happy for the boys, still think Tubby doesn't fit. I can do both

158 in the Pomeroy today. Didn’t move much in the whole scheme of things.

But it didn’t fall.

thought the committee used RPI? 111 and up 25 points over the last week.

I'd love to see Memphis win it's last three games as UConn hasn't looked amazing or anything this season. That said, UConn on the road will still be a tall task.

The RPI rating is often considered a factor in selecting and seeding the final few teams in the tournament field. However, the NCAA selection committee in 2015 said the RPI is only utilized for grouping the teams into groups such as top 50 and top 100 teams, to value the wins and losses, and not as a factor for selection.[2] Additionally, the committee officially considers predictive computer rankings, such as ESPN's BPI, Sagarin, and Pomeroy Ratings, which use additional factors considered by the committee, such as injured players in the case of the BPI.

Will the committee also use the eyetest this season?

I haven't heard either way.

RE: back-to-back road wins in conference... - jamgut - 02-18-2018 01:22 PM

The eye test will probably come into play when they're debating the top seeds and the last group of at large teams.

The selection committee is supposedly giving road and neutral court wins get an increased emphasis this year with their new quadrant system.

Our wins at Temple (Q1) and SMU (Q2) are our only ones in the top 2 quadrants.

If all related threads were consolidated there would be only two threads: The Fire Tubby thread and the Glad we won thread.

Consolidate those 2 threads and we might even rival the Big 12 thread.

I like Big Threads and I cannot lie...

The problem I'm having is measured in degrees.

I'm not the happiest I used to be when they win, and I'm not the saddest I used to be when they lose.

It sucks.

If we can just creep up 8 more spots we'll be Top 150!

We're on the cusp

Hopefully winning the next game will prevent ESPN from showing Memphis as a bad loss on Temple’s NCAA resume.
