Quote:A former top aide to Donald Trump's presidential campaign will plead guilty to fraud-related charges within days -- and has made it clear to prosecutors that he would testify against Paul Manafort, the lawyer-lobbyist who once managed the campaign.

This nothing burger sure is juicy.

RE: Flipped - Kronke - 02-18-2018 09:42 PM

Quote:The Oct. 27 indictment showed that prosecutors had amassed substantial documentation to support their charges that Manafort and Gates -- who were colleagues in political consulting for about a decade -- had engaged in a complex series of allegedly illegal transactions rooted in Ukraine.

Manafort, Ukraine. Sounds like this involves their dealings with Podesta.

Dead end after dead end re: Trump. It's almost as if there's nothing there.

Quote:One of the final discussion points has centered on exactly how much cash or other valuables -- derived from Gates' allegedly illegal activity -- that the government will require him to forfeit as part of the guilty plea.

I'm not following. Gates was getting cash and other vauables from his activities associated with helping Trump collude with Russians?

better be careful about what you think is good news because it usually ends up falling way to the left

This will be another one

I'm guessing cb missed this part:

Quote:The same individual said he did not believe Gates has information to offer Mueller's team that would "turn the screws on Trump."

The Podesta Group was basically subcontracted by Manafort to do lobbying on behalf of the Ukrainian client. They likely face fines for retroactively registering, Flynn did the same thing with his Turkey lobbying and if he hadn't lied to the FBI he wouldn't be in the situation he's in. There's only been one successful conviction of the FARA act in the last 40 years. It's Manafort's financial crimes that will have him in prison and the extent he went to knowingly skirt the law.

Wow. How thick are you? The last investigation has already announced there was no collusion with by any US citizen. Any charges are completely unrelated to Trump or the campaign. Sad so many can’t seem to let the big lie go.

dunno. Could be just bringing more evidence on Manafort. But Manafort better hope he has some dirt on Trump that Mueller wants or else he's going to jail for a longtime.

He doesn't read the news he posts. Just sees the article title, tweaks his nipples, and shitposts it here.

After watching that, I could easily imagine Podesta reading the following email and then hitting the enter button:

Dear Commrade Podesta,

This is Bank One's Security System On-Line. We believe your account may have been compromised. Please re-enter the appropriate account information in the boxes below, including a new password, and then hit enter.

Thank you.

Thinking about all the "outrage and disbelief" on CNN et al about Russians trying to influence the outcome of our elections, made me wonder why we hardly heard a peep from the same people when it was revealed that Cankles & Co had rigged their own primaries in her favor.

If I was a cynic, which I'm not...............

Yea,

Me neither.

I’ve been told it’s just all a big coincidence...

I’ll just go with that.
