Charlotte Hires Mike Hill from UF as Athletic Director - Niner National - 02-22-2018 07:57 PM
Mike Hill has spent pretty much his entire professional career at Florida.
Phil Esten has had several short stints at multiple power conference schools including Cal, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Penn State.
Of the two, I like Esten better, but either will likely be a big step up from what we have had in the past.

I’m sure whoever put in for it or who got it had to be thinking what a great first job.
Charlotte is ripe to explode. They have the population. They have good history. The new guy has to come in thinking what the hell was this lady doing here? Get a good hungry person looking to move up and hopefully they’ll make all the right hires for you.
They can’t do worse than the woman AD did.

A couple of our posters are a part of the interview process this week (as are several other fans and alums), so hopefully we will have some more insights tomorrow and Tuesday. I expect to have a new ad offered, if not formally announced by Friday.

Esten is my pick but the hope is that this person gets hired away in 5 years, need someone to come in and make up for lost ground.
