My power has turned back on just in time to watch Ollie wrap up his second straight losing season!

It will be interesting to see how Tubby leaving will affect Memphis, if at all. I say Memphis wins.

I have a hard time seeing any schools but Cincy, WSU, or Houston winning the auto-bid and no other schools have a prayer for an-large bid. However, I think the NIT may be in play for some schools depending on AAC Tourney games result.

Hypothetically, say Memphis beats USF and Tulsa, loses in a close one to Cincy. 21 wins and the NIT were to offer a bid. Does the school accept it or decline so we can let Penny go to work?

The USF loss killed any chance we have at the NIT.

I do not think our profile under the scenario you describe will rise to the level meriting an NIT bid. You may recall that we did not make the NIT after advancing to the AAC Tourney finals a few years ago and that team had better metrics than our current team. However, I think we would accept an NIT bid if for no other reason than the players deserve it.

You crazy. Only BC/Cuse/other douchey ACC schools love UCONN these days.

RE: **The official American conference tournament thread** - Bearcats#1 - 03-08-2018 09:47 AM

Need UCONN to win...it's not the AAC tourney if UC and UCONN don't face off.

RE: **The official American conference tournament thread** - JFlight21 - 03-08-2018 10:18 AM

SMU hasn't beaten a non-ECU team since January 20th. Dear lord. Back up the truck for this one boys. I might borrow from my 401k and put a couple extra bags on the Huskies.
