"Blue Wave" Tennessee - bobdizole - 10-02-2018 09:01 AM

Blackburn turns to Trump

Quote:Trump’s visit couldn’t have come at a better time for the GOP. Blackburn has fallen behind in recent polls. She’s up against a wealthy two-term ex-governor with statewide name recognition, who’s also popular among the female voters who are uncomfortable with Trump.

If the democrats could get their heads out of their asses they would realize people like Bredesene are the only chance they have. People like Hugo Cortez might fly in the hyper progressive liberal enclaves, but that isn't going to work for the rest of blue collar America.

This is going to be an interesting election. A moderate dem who isn't opposed to working with Trump vs. Blackburn who's entire platform is DJT in a state Trump waxed Clinton in. The ads that have been flooding TV have gotten pretty nauseating.

Reactions from debate

Quote:While accompanying a Democratic candidate going door-to-door, campaigning for the Tennessee House of Representatives, I heard a man say that he was voting against Phil Bredesen for U.S. Senate “because I learned all I need to know about him from television.”

I'll be voting for Phil Bredesen and Karl Dean...I'm also happy to see Democrats take the Shelby County Mayors seat away from the GOP.

Dean has less than a snowball's chance in hell. Marsha should be able to ride Lee and Trump's momentum to the Senate win. Thankfully, most of Tennessee is very red.

I just wonder what elected office ole George Flinn is running for this week...maybe county dog catcher...and he'll probably lose.

Amen to that. I'll be voting for Bredesen. Blackburn would be disastrous.

Not surprising at all. These are the idiots that live among us.

This is why we need more parties.

And we've enjoyed watching the Democratic leadership of Memphis lead it down the sewer.

Well, not actually. I've hated watching it. But it is what it is.

Back in the 80s Memphis/Shelby County led the state in commercial development. In fact Shelby County projects totaled more than Davidson, Knox and Hamilton counties COMBINED.

Businesses were moving to Mem/Shelby.

Then the Dems started taking over and, well, now look at it.

Great job, by the way!

RE: "Blue Wave" Tennessee - umbluegray - 10-02-2018 11:14 AM

Oh, and if you care anything about Mem/Shelby you wouldn't want Bredesen in office.

As governor he did absolutely squat for Memphis while making sure Nashville got everything they needed. I wouldn't expect him to do anything different at the fed level.

At least Bill Lee appreciates Mem/Shelby.

This is 100% correct.

Bredesen is a Nashville guy bought and paid for.

REMEMBER THE TITANS!

How anyone in West TN could vote for that man is beyond me.

Its sad to see what they've turned Memphis into. Saw either on local news or in the paper that Memphis is the 2nd slowest growing big city in America. The consolidation talk will fire up again soon. They want to drag the suburbs down with them. But like with the schools, we fought it and won. Eventually, I guess Memphis might surrender the city charter and merge w/ county government, but the suburbs wont ever give up their own mayors, aldermen, etc. to be governed by those clowns downtown.

No doubt...that's what dems will do to the entire country if given the chance

Tell us how happy you are at the end of his term. I think he'll do OK but unlike you I don't care if he's a dem or a pub if he keeps the county safe and clean. You couldn't possibly care any less about his job performance as long as he's a dem.

Then you're quite obviously a rapist and you need to turn yourself over to the proper authorities for a complete investigation.

Indeed, we see it in every democrat stronghold though so I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised by what Memphis has become. But, there are a lot of youngsters like Drew who appreciate being able to go sit on a toilet in the girls bathrooms.

Have you taken a look around this place lately? That's downright uplifting compared to some of the tripe people put on this board.
