For me anyway. Screw ice skating. Easily the most boring event in the world. It is not a sport. Any time someone is judged for their effort, it is an event. *******s.

Neworks always mess up Olympics. They are trying to get the whole audience - everybody in the world - to watch the show and increase ratings and make money. They do not care what you like, what I like, or what anybody likes. Throw out the "personal stories" and the lengthy interviews 0f gold medal winner always from the USA. Shorten the opening and closing ceremonies leaving out hordes of native dancers and leaving in the lighting of the flame and the one sentence opening of the games by the Pres.

You will never change the judged events. They will always be a problem. Are you old enough to remember the "Soviet Bloc"? They still vote together many times. Given all that do as I do. Don't watch!!!!1

With a birthday of 5/5/55 there are more things that I have forgotten than I remember. I do remember the Soviet Block well. The basketball game in 72 is still fresh in my memory. Bastards!

I think that gives them the right to show whatever they want. Besides, this was one of the most watched winter games in a long time. If you don't like it now, you won't like this, NBC has the Olympics through 2008.
