Wasn't the Cotton Bowl tied to the old Soutwest Conference? I imagine the break up of the SWC was enough to drop the Cotton Bowl to a level below the bowls that went on to become the BCS.

I wouldn't think that would be enough to pick the Fiesta Bowl, a MUCH younger bowl with VERY limited history, over the Cotton Bowl in the BCS. Doesn't make sense to me. Fiesta Bowl isn't that much older than I am while the Cotton has a TON of history.

BTW, must be a bigass backyard. I think the C-USA's Tulane would take issue with that.
OSU had about as many people inside the dome last year as LSU had.

FAke punt another fourth down conversion cheap late hit. Can't stop em now. Funny how momentum works. Ohio is off balance.

So remind me how it was essentially a "home game" again?

BTW, watching Texas? I'll just add them to another team I think would lose to Ole Miss. ...and if you watched the Cotton Bowl, you'd understand why. Our defense is 10 times better than OSU's. We have 3 potential first-rounders in Greg Hardy, Peria Jerry, and Michael Oher. That's 3, out of 32, from ONE team, out of over 100.

They shouldn't be. I would rather of played Ga. in the Cap One. Could of gotten the SEC monkey off our backs. I do have to give the Buckeyes credit though. They are a 10.5 dog and playin their asses off.

i figured a game in the state of Louisiana would give LOUISIANA state university an advantage over OHIO state university.

Want me to one-up ya?
BTW, I hope The OSU comes back.
Also, don't know if a win over UGA would come that easily.

Yeah, in REGULAR games. In a BCS game it's 50/50. There IS no "home-field" advantage unless you don't fill the seats. As stated earlier, OSU filled the seats.
Seriously, how many damn excuses are you guys gonna make? Didn't seem to affect Texas in the NC, which was at the ROSE BOWL again USC, who was from 11 miles away, did it?

You know where I do think the SEC has it over just about every other conference. It's not speed as the uninformed like to trumpet. It's the D-Lines. I would kill for some of those D-Lines we face in the bowls.

I swear, watching these kids play, in all bowls, I could easily create a team of the best positions and beat at least 6 teams in the NFL. Take the punter from Florida State. Have you seen that guy?
