An article from today's Strib said sophmore QB Brian Cupito is really wowing people, and is the clear frontrunner for starter. Quick, athletic, mobile, and a good arm.
Mason says this is the fastest defense he's had in his 7 years here.
Defensive end Mark Losli, who has bulked up to 290 pounds, moved to defensive tackle, changing spots with senior Darrell Reid, who has the potential to provide a better pass rush.
In the other major move, McKenzie switched to middle linebacker with athletic sophomore Mario Reese taking his place at outside linebacker.
McKenzie and his defensive mates have the added luxury (if you can call it that) of going against one of the top offenses and running games in the nation every day in practice. So far, the defense has held its own this spring.
Really looking forward to this coming season!

Can't wait until the Rockets open the season at Minnesota. This is going to be a huge test for Toledo. If we can find a way to win this game we might go undefeated. No doubt in my mind that this will be our toughest game.

I have heard Cupito has been very impressive so far. He is the key for the Gophers this season.

Watched the Spring Game on FSN, and would like to whole heartedly welcome Amir Pinnox and Dominique Barber to Running Back U.
The depth and talent we have at RB is just sick.
