RE: The Future of CAA Football
Both U's have the will and probably the $$$ to expand their programs and maybe move up to FBS.

I have read that Charlotte would only be moving through the CAA and not staying in it for any length of time. Charlotte has already indicated that it eventually wants to move up to FBS. For that reason the CAA might not give Charlotte an invite. Ga St is a member of the CAA for its other sports while Charlotte is a member of the A-10 for all other sports.

On the other hand, NH and Maine appear to both be on death watches as far as CAA football goes.

Agree. For this reason they may follow Rhode Island to the Northeast Conference as football only members (especially Maine). However, that would bring the NEC up to 12 football playing member. Don't know if the NEC wants to go that high. With 10 members they will play 9 conference games and 2 out of conference game. Twelve members would take away out of conference match ups.
