Well then why was SU and Pitt taken by a Big 5 conference over Air Force and Navy, and before WV? Pitt and SU never had to go scrambling and begging for an invite.

Because the ACC leadership is as stupid as The BEast's leadership was. They've valued the wrong things, which is why the ACC is on the bottom rung of the power 5 conferences...
