And markets have value. But so does market PENETRATION, and quality of a program overall and its national viewership as well. Markets aren't the be all, end all. Rutgers and Maryland are in HUGELY populated areas and are THE school in their respective states. UC, USF, UCF and Memphis don't fit that criteria. And the ACC doesn't have a network to make the "market" argument relevant.

The ACC is in the midst of negotiations for their own Conference Network. Adding Markets at this time would be prudent. As for the teams you've mentioned, Memphis is the team in Tennessee come Basketball season. Their Football is on the rise and that's good for them. UC is in Ohio much to tOSU's dismay. If they had the same financial footing as tOSU, they'd be a true player in that state. UCF and USF both still have approximately the same state wide market penetration as Miami. They are both younger and larger. They'll both pass Miami in fan base in a few years time.

I see the arguments for naysayers and I say, you lack vision and are probably going to miss out on a golden opportunity to make the ACC a true challenger to the PAC, SEC and B1G.
