The Williams Cos/ETE merger is toast now (evidently) and it appears that it is a very good thing for the city. Williams has an extensive history in the city with thousands of connected jobs to the economy. But in the oil industry right now the way it is and the US "politic" the way it is, there is still a lot of turmoil.

Willimas and TU have been a huge factor in the city economy for many decades. Just look at the downtown with the 52 story Williams/BOK tower and you see the importance of Williams and the energy sector and at TU just as much with our world renowned petroleum engineering department. So its a very good thing to see Williams stay put with its 50 Billion dollar company intact.
