LA Tech has played Alabama 5 times and won twice. So Tech's winning percentage against Bama stands at 40%. Though the series record stands 3-2 in favor of the Tide, Tech won the last two in 1999 & 1997.

Meanwhile, USM has a 14.29% winning percentage against Alabama.

That's interesting, and I'd definitely brag about it if I were a Tech fan, but I don't necessarily take some sort of "Tech is waaay better against Bama than USM is" message away from it. How many times have you even played them? If you'd played them 60 times, or whatever, like we have, what would your batting average be? There are probably SEC schools that would like to bat .143 against Bama, man, and that's not five games.
