I was reading an article proposing Bret Bielema to Nebraska and thought it wasn't the most insane idea I've ever heard. I realize that 1) Mike Riley is still currently (as of today, 11/15) the head coach of Nebraska football and 2) they'd REALLY like Scott Frost to become the next head coach (more when than if they fire Riley at this point).

This may be the only vacancy we see this year and that isn't a bad thing at all. There has been an absolute ton of turnover in the past 3 years. The only potential changes could be with Illinois (L. Smith) and Indiana (T. Allen) due to "performance". Both seem pretty unlikely for different reason. Smith's buyout is huge and it'd be surprising anyway if he didn't get one more year. Allen just got to Indiana and while the results haven't been great, it'd be shocking if that is all he got. There could be other potential head coaching searches due to someone being picked off by another program. Brohm had a lot eyes on him earlier in the season but that has cooled off a bit now. Perhaps PJ Fleck and his boat rowing take his skills somewhere else? Both seem like a stretch but nothing is impossible. I've also seen DJ Durkin on early Florida lists (WAY down) but they aren't likely to go in that direction.

Jeff Brohm (Purdue) buyout = $15,844,445 (cost a bunch for someone to get him)
PJ Fleck (Minnesota) buyout = $9,583,333
