Robots/AI - The Future
How do people see AI affecting the future for humans? Is it a positive or negative development?
One one hand, I can't imagine trying to slow down human progress with technology. I don't want to be the guy plowing the field with the donkey shaking his fist st the guy riding on the tractor.
On the other hand, AI is a whole other type of animal. The way I'm seeing it, we could basically make most humans not necessary. AI will not only be able to take away most blue collar jobs, but would take away a ton of administrative/office type jobs in fields such accounting, finance, HR, secretaries, etc. AI could even be in the medical field replacing surgeons, nurses, and doctors.
That all sounds great and all, but this kind of makes humans obsolete doesn't it? Do the robots eventually see us as not necessary?
There's lots to think abouthat on this subject and it appears.to be moving more rapid by the day. I read something recently predicting truck drivers could be out of work in 5 or 10 years.
Is this bad or good? I'm not sure I can answer that honestly right now. I want to say it is bad, but hoping someone smarter can tell me why it's good.
