I don't think there's any question that in terms of 'stability', the ACC and Big 12 are the least stable of the P5. We know that, because they are the P5 that have been raided by other P5 in recent years.

But, IMO both are more stable now than they were 5 years ago. They both have GORs and media deals that will keep their members happy at least until 2025 (in the case of the Big 12). Both are also doing fine on the football field and basketball court.

Basically, for the next 5-6 years at least, there is no actual instability among any of the P5.

ACC is pretty stable unless ESPN struggles. Since the ACC is owned 100% by ESPN until 2038. With the way media is changing, I could see the ACC being the most likely conference to change by the time the Big 10 renegotiated their media deal in 2021 and Big 12 renegotiated in 2023. If both conferences exclude ESPN (the PAC too by 2021) then 3 of the cartel conferences from California to New Jersey leaving ESPIN would devastate ESPN...therefore devastating the ACC who would still have 15 years of being owned 100% by an outdated media model.
