There's no need for that. C-USA had one great team in Memphis and a few sometimes in the NCAA teams; this league has 4 in the East and 2 (at least close to that level) in the west. And under that configuration (which would not be my preference, but just going with it) there are 4 great and 2 solid programs in the east. The West is weaker, and might have a greater need for it
Now, if we don't go all sports out west, and your basketball is the east plus TU, Houston and SMU, you would have a greater need for that type of scheduling. Then you could make sure that the Big 4 play each other home and home, and then home and home maybe with 2 or 3 others and single games with the rest.
