Everybody uses political influence.
WVU only got that kind of help after Mitch McConnell stuck his nose into things. Then Joe Manchin slapped him down on the floor of the Senate.
Not to start this crap up again, because I am not involved in this, but this is such a silly comment. The same WV congressman who made a stink about McConnell, was actually the very first to use his position to try to get WV in the Big 12 in the first place. He went around saying that McConnell had been using his influence, despite not knowing that McConnell had been talking to those same people WELL before anyone in the Big 12 was even talking to WV. Then it became apparent that not only was McConnell not trying o interfere with WV's position (just promoting his own), it turns out that Manchin was the one actually trying to get involved and using HIS position to help WV. Even after trying to blame McConnell for doing said action. Pot met kettle. Once he called out McConnell, his own actions were brought forward, and it was shown that only AFTER Manchin intervened on WV's behalf, did McConnell. And when called out on it, he apologized, sat down, and STFU about it, because he knew he was busted. And you start a thread about "hypocrisy."
