RE: OT: Star Wars Thread [Warning: Spoilers]
(12-19-2015 07:34 PM)ThreeifbyLightning Wrote:  I also wish Luke would have had more of a role. I guess Mark Hamill just really wished he never would have played the part in the first place. So, the guy who confronted the Emperor, turned his father back to light, and defeated the Empire took his ball and went home quitting on his Jedi responsibilities simply because his nephew turned to the dark side? That's just an absurd plot twist and not even believable in this fairy tale world.

So, some interesting questions arise. Who is Rey's mother? Obviously, with no training she was more powerful than Ren. Does that imply that Luke also found another Jedi and had a child with her? And if so what happened to her and why did they abandoned Rey?

I think we need to see the rest of the series and actually know what happened before we can start making those kinds of assumptions about Luke and why he's in hiding.

As far as Rey, there's a pretty cool theory out there that she might be a Kenobi. Great with a saber and instinctively good at mind control... Sounds a lot like Kenobi.

Also, you have to consider that Kylo Ren was severely injured by Chewie's bowcaster, then was cut on the arm by Finn. Not to mention the mental/emotional fatigue after committing patricide. When they meet again (after his training), I think he's going to be hell on wheels.
