RE: OT: Star Wars Thread [Warning: Spoilers]
just got home from seeing it...and I thought it was kinda meh'

1) you start on a desert world, with a protagonist who does not know their parentage.
2) A droid holds a vital message, and ends up with protagonist
3) bad guy is controlled by a governor (snively ginger guy) and emperor (Snoke)
4) there is a death star like thing, with a major flaw, that can be exploited
5) there is a cantina scene, with music
6) a father and son fight to the death on a cat walk
7) Leia runs a coordinated attack of x-wings from a distant control center

I feel like I've seen this movie, and it was done better the first time IMHO.

better than I, II, and just as good as III, though...so it's an "above average movie"...I simply can't call it great/good because it felt too derivative.

I think Trek got the better work out of JJ, for far less money...

edit: I bet Snoke is darth Plegeise (sp?) that the emperor mentions to Anakin in epIII...I bet he made Anakin with the intention of his fathering Luke, to destroy the emperor.
