PS Star Wars wasn't that great from a critical viewpoint. Empire was only great because of the plot twist and more Vader. Jedi tied it up reasonably. This latest series is shaping up the same way. I am a huge fan of the Star Wars movies, all of them, but, objectively, I've seen better movies than any of them.

I'm kind of with you there. The originals were a fine sci-fi trilogy with Empire being the most dramatic and, IMO, Jedi was basically the first one with a bigger Death Star and more dynamic aerial stuff. The second set of films, the prequels, were not BAD but they were way over in use of digital trickery.

That said, anyone watching these movies can't be looking for Oscar winning drama/acting in them. They are just fun movies.
