Episode 3 took it from whatever grade you had before to A+. I literally had chills. That's everyone's worst nightmare, let lone Obi's. But that sickened, oh ****, look on his face nailed it.

Question is, had Obi Wan not hid and stayed in tune with his Jedi training and the force would had been as nervous.

He didn't balk at fighting Darth Maul when he had to even when he'd just killed his master. So I'm guessing the training overrides the fear if your current in it. But the fear was better. And it means more that he sacrificed himself in ANH without a second thought to it. Not suicidal, but a true sacrifice. If you know how scared he was to face him at at least one point, it makes that faceoff more impressive in ANH.
