That article also mentioned season tickets were up 25 percent, since FBS announcement, for what is still an FCS year.

Here's some speuclative spin. We drew 22k for Montana. Let's assume any G5 would draw similar interest as FCS montana. Let's also assume that 25 pct increase in season tickets correlates to the sales increase at the gate as well.

22k * 1.25 = 27k avg g5 attendance. Maybe the increase for the actual FBS season will be closer to 40 percent, putting it around 31k. Then, the P5 could draw an additional 20-50% from average, making 4Ok+ a possibility.

So, maybe 30k makes sense for first couple of years, then make it 35k by time VT level P5s come in. Hard to say. If they make it nice with towers and locker rooms, 30k could feel bigger than it is. Just think how different the home tower changed the stadium, and that was only 7k seats.
