I actually liked the Enterprise intro. Being a self-proclaimed history nut, I enjoyed the brief synopsis of travel through the ages.
I get the use of the Klingon. I just feel there is too much of it. I hate to read movies/TV shows. A little goes a long way. That first episode had enough for a 10-year run. It is nice that they pay enough attention to realize it is Klingon to Klingon but they overlook enough other stuff that they can afford to overlook this.
I thought the Abrams movies were good but they did not embody the spirit of Star Trek.
Enterprise is interesting to me because once it became clear the show was being canceled, they started putting out some REALLY good episodes...I mean, episodes like Babel One, United, The Aenar, Affliction, Divergence, In a Mirror Darkly I&II, and Terra Prime...that's what I wanted Enterprise to be all along.
they learned their lesson too late.
Apparently, they may be on the verge of announcing a season 2 for Discovery.

Do the show writers know that they have given the federation borg like qualities?
yes, they even bring that up in DS9...a great quote from Michael Eddington in 'for the cause'
"You know, in some ways you're even worse than the Borg. At least they tell you about their plans for assimilation. You're more insidious. You assimilate people and they don't even know it."
I had completely forgotten about that episode. Great pull!
