However, I think the most telling aspect is that I can't watch reruns. I have tried but I get a minute or two in and lose interest. I felt the same way about DS9 and to a lesser degree, Voyager. I can now watch some Voyager reruns but I can't watch DS9. Even the episodes I haven't seen.

many people find serialized TV shows easy to binge but tough to re-watch and enjoy...that's never been an issue for me as I enjoyed re-watching the DS9 story arcs and Discovery isn't very far into it's run so for me it's easy to go back and catch the episodes again.

many feel that's why TOS and TNG killed it with re-runs because they're mini movies...but I like the idea of a serialized Trek series.

One thing I have noticed is they haven't had any truly terrible episodes...Season 1 of TNG had some REALLY bad episodes early on like 'Naked Now'...'Code of Honor'...'Lonely Among Us'...'Justice'

Discovery hasn't had any stinkers yet IMHO.
