Also W&M and Indiana State, often top 100 teams.

The scheduling wasn't bad. Just happens that every one of those teams are having abnormally poor seasons except W&M.

JMU, Fairfield, and Norfolk State are also having abnormally poor seasons. They are all usually in the 100-200 range and in the mix for their conference titles. This year all 3 are among the worst in the country.

We can only play the games. We cannot control how the opponent performs.

I agree with you; that's not a poor schedule on paper. Just because it didn't work out the way you'd hoped doesn't mean there was a problem with the scheduling. You can't control people having down years. What if you had a schedule this year with Baylor, Pitt, Wisconsin, Cal, and Georgetown?

Seems strong on paper, but they're a combined 50-58 overall and 9-36 in conference. Options are even more limited when your schedule is often dictated by higher budget programs, too.
