Minshew Leaves ECU to Attend to Family Issues
(02-12-2018 06:33 AM)Chappy Wrote:  It all seems logical to me... Minshew has family issue, leaves the Pirates, then surveys the landscape for playing opportunities closer to home.

Tuscaloosa is only a 2.5 hour drive from Brandon, MS.

This is my line of thought except for the fact Alabama doesn’t need another QB (wanting is a different story) and he wouldn’t get playing time there. There is the whole Saban’s ego might’ve got bruised when Ahlers said he was staying committed to ECU but no way he would sign and then start him out of pure spite when he knows it’s Championship or bust.

If I was Minshew and I truly left for family reasons I would look towards UAB, Southern Miss, or South Alabama. Close to home but more chance at playing.
