He’s the #1 grad transfer prospect this year and will start at LT for a top program in the country. Sure, I wish we were going to be decent this year and could convince him to stay but I don’t fault him for wanting to play in a real college football environment. He accomplished the reason to attend Rice, he graduated with a Math Econ degree which is probably something most people on this board couldn’t do. If he wanted to quit football tomorrow he could get a 6 figure starting salary no problem.

I get that. But to be as smart as he is you would think that he wouldn't be so arrogantly condescending toward the place that he is now an alum. It's one thing to think it. It's another to come out and say it - especially the way he said it. And like one poster wrote above when he played the elite DE's in the league he didn't exactly have a good showing.

Lol you’re kidding right? If you think you have any players that wouldn’t transfer out to start at UT, Michigan or Auburn you’re delusional. Most of our guys come to get a degree and he did that. Now he can go play his year of semi-pro before he tries the NFL. He’s in the Rice tv commercial and has complimented Rice, Bailiff and now Bloomgren in multiple articles.
