We're in the same church, just different seats on this one. Sometimes you have to be able to distinguish between voting on principle or voting for theater. Some times these actors vote one way because they know they will lose so it looks good to their constituents, or vice versa, voting for something they know can't pass. You really have to have the whole picture to know what's going on.

This is part of their bag of tricks to confuse the voters and give themselves cover. It's why debating on this board is fun but ultimately silly. Most of us don't have a real clue what's going on, self included.
