Theoretically, if BYU wanted to be in a conference they could set another airport meeting and create a smaller, handpicked conference to maximize money:

BYU
Wyoming
Colorado St.
Air Force
New Mexico
UNLV
Boise
San Diego St.
Hawaii (FB-only)
Gonzaga (non-FB)

They can create a conference championship game and keep the membership low to increase profit. With only 8 conference games, BYU can schedule outside of the conference more and avoid the fact they'd be on the same level as Utah State.

I could see bowl games in Vegas, San Diego, Honolulu, Albuquerque, and Boise.
