Thats what Im thinking. Just win the autobid. BYU has a huge financial advantage and they really only have one significant competitor in St Mary. Go hire a top tier coach and get it done. As an insurance policy, upgrade the OOC schedule knowing that if you win those games you might set yourself up for an "at large" bid. Scheduling a very tough OOC is a very low risk situation for BYU. If they lose most of the OOC games--it doesnt matter---because an "at large" bid was always plan "B". The side benefit is a tough OOC will prepared them to play at a level that far exceeds most anything they will see in WCC.
