The telecast stumbles an unfortunate 19 percent from 2017.

I typically watch the Oscars. I didnt this year because I knew it would be the ultimate preachy anti-Trump evening telling all conservatives how stupid they are. Ive had enough and stopped watching all these self congratulatory awards shows where the smug largely clueless actors act like they are have the answers to everything because they played a super hero or a crack whore in a movie. Apparently, I wasnt alone in my decision to pass on the Oscars.

Instead, my wife and I caught up on this seasons "Homeland" episodes on Showtime. If you havent caught that show, "Homeland" is one thats definitely worth seeing. There were some significant cast changes several seasons in that I thought might really hurt the show---instead--it just got better. Really good series that tends to piggy back off current events.
